About Napatra

Napatra.wordpress.com is an honest attempt to share my personal viewpoint of my experiences to different cultures of the world. Born and raised in Bangkok (Thailand) while spending almost half of my life in Melbourne, Virginia, and now in Beijing, among other places, I find myself a cultural boundary crosser who is absolutely fascinated in the East and the West cross-cultural phenomenon. I am a Bangkokian who prefers the lifestyle of smaller cities; a student of avant-garde architecture who works to preserve Beijing’s ancient architectural heritage; a Buddhism believer who still loves to shop.

I hope to present these subtle differences in the way people from different countries do things – big or small – on my blog. All suggestions are welcome.

Napatra.wordpress.com เป็นความตั้งใจส่วนตัวของข้าพเจ้าที่อยากถ่ายทอดมุมมองจากประสบการณ์การใช้ชีวิตในหลายๆวัฒนธรรม จากหลายๆประเทศมาเล่าสู่กันฟัง   ข้าพเจ้าเป็นคนไทยเต็มตัว เกิดและโตที่กรุงเทพฯ, ศึกษาต่อที่ประเทศออสเตรเลีย, สหรัฐอเมริกา, และเริ่มชีวิตการทำงานครั้งแรกที่กรุงปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีน  ข้าพเจ้ามองตัวเองว่าเป็นผลผลิตของวัฒนธรรมตะวันออก-ตกที่เชื่อมเข้าหากัน  ข้าพเจ้าเป็นคนกรุงที่รักวิถีชิวิตต่างจังหวัด, ศึกษาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์สมัยใหม่ที่ทำงานเพื่ออนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมเก่าแก่ของกรุงปักกิ่ง, เป็นคนที่นับถือและมีความตั้งใจในวิถีพุทธที่ยังรักการช้อปปิ้ง

ข้าพเจ้าอยากใช้ blog นี้เพื่อเสนอความแตกต่างในการใช้ชีวิตของผู้คนจากต่างสังคม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องเล็กหรือใหญ่  หากผู้อ่านมีความคิดอะไร comment ได้เต็มที่ค่ะ
